Ad.WRIGHT Site Gone Live

Yeeeah! Hah! Finally our new site is live (not launched I might add), after months of incremental development. Once we fix those bugs and tidy everything plus get some more content in etc. etc. we can finally officially launch.

We took the decision to go live this week to pick up some time on with GoogleBOT, which is important as we know we will get some adjustment with our ranking, hopefully not too harsh.

We also made sure that existing links created and indexed in Google (or Yahoo) are completely redirected back to the home page so users do not end up with any 'page not found' errors.

The other decision to go live was pushed on by end users actually commenting that 'hey! this is much better why are you not live' enough said for me to get it out the door.

This site is about 'practice what we preach' so yes, we shall keep it up to date (oops! set in stone). Another thing we also mention to clients is phase the project, no use killing yourself in the process by trying to achieve too much unless you literally have the resources to write content for 200 pages in one month (we have done it in 2 months, but not 1).

The nice thing will be the new video banners that we are using, a stack of ideas yet to get out of our system and Adobe After Effects is the tool to thank for that and its a since the early days but without broadband and flash 9 its not been feasible. Worlds our clients oyster as far as we are concerned now.

In all its a very cool time, the internet is becoming really fun, not just for social interaction (YouTube etc.) but for business as well. The web tools at everyones disposal are just nicer to use (AJAX and Flash Flex) and cheaper as well, the smaller guys can compete more easily if they get themselves organised. Glad to say thats the game we're in ;-)
